DJ Nicky Knight is a dj by night and a news media executive by day. She graduated from Scratch Academy  in Los Angeles in  2018, where she perfected her expertise in spinning hip hop and R&B hits. she is available for hire for private parties and corporate events.

When Knight isn't ON the ones and twos, she is the Executive Producer of the Marketplace Morning Report reaching more than 10.8 million listeners on public radio stations around the country. she started out her journalism career at abc news working with Diane sawyer and peter jennings.

knight has also worked as a celebrity brand and media consultant working with stars on a range of projects. she also specializes in media training and crisis communication for companies and high-profile individuals. 

knight has won nearly every major broadcast journalism award, including an Emmy,  a Peabody, and a Columbia DuPont for a Kids’ Special for 9/11 coverage; a Business Emmy Award for a Report on Pension Plans; the Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Newscast/World News Tonight; National Association of Black Journalists Award for Best Radio News (Long Form) and Best Radio Commentary; the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association’s Excellence in Journalism Award for coverage of HIV/AIDS; and the Los Angeles Press Club Award for Best Multimedia Package. in 2018, she won a prestigious ucla loeb audio award for her work on a special series on automation called robot-proof jobs.

Knight spent part of her childhood in foster care, and as a result, she has had the opportunity through speaking engagements to shed light on the plights of the millions of children who reside within the system. She also sat on the board of Uplift, an LA-based organization that provides services to young men in the foster care system. 

Knight currently lives in Los Angeles but spends as much time as she can in bothNew York and London, uk..
